Under the Ligtas Paskuhan 2025 plan, over 70,000 police officers will be deployed in churches, busy streets, and other key areas to ensure the safety of worshippers attending dawn and evening Masses leading up to Christmas.

In a statement, PNP acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said that security measures will include intensified foot patrols, checkpoints, and mobile patrols, alongside close coordination with local government units, barangay officials, and church authorities for crowd management and emergency response.

He also instructed police commanders nationwide to secure churches and nearby convergence points, especially areas commonly visited by parishioners after Mass.

“Our goal is to ensure that our countrymen feel safe while attending Simbang Gabi and returning home. We are committed to making the Christmas season meaningful by strengthening peace and order measures,” Nartatez said.

Police will remain vigilant against theft, pickpocketing, traffic congestion, fire hazards, and other emergencies, with visible deployment around churches and surrounding streets.

He reminded the public to stay alert, secure personal belongings, follow traffic rules, and report any suspicious activity immediately.

Meanwhile, the Police Regional Office 3 has implemented its own security measures across Central Luzon, deploying nearly 6,000 officers to key areas as part of the holiday safety operations.
