🇵🇠Matty Juniosa Finishes Strong, Places Fourth in Britain’s Got Talent 2026 Finale
Filipino singer Matty Juniosa concluded an impressive journey on Britain’s Got Talent Season 19 after securing fourth place in the competition’s grand finale held on May 30 in the United Kingdom (May 31 in the Philippines).
Juniosa, who captured the hearts of viewers throughout the season with his powerful vocals and charismatic stage presence, delivered a stunning rendition of Prince’s classic hit “Nothing Compares 2 U” during the final show. His performance earned a standing ovation from the judges, including Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and KSI, as well as the live audience.
Following his performance, Cowell praised the Filipino singer’s talent and consistency throughout the competition.
“That was absolutely brilliant, Matty. I think we’ve fallen in love the moment we first met you, with your personality, talent, and you’re not afraid to take on these big songs,” Cowell said.
The Hawkstone Farmers Choir emerged as the winners of Britain’s Got Talent Season 19, while Celestial finished as runner-up and Anastasia Beaumont and Salsa placed third.
Juniosa reached both the semi-finals and grand finals after receiving the coveted Golden Buzzer during the competition. However, the final winner was determined entirely through public voting.
Despite narrowly missing the championship, Juniosa’s remarkable run on one of the world’s biggest talent competitions has earned him international recognition and widespread support from Filipino fans.
The singer is set to continue his flourishing career as he prepares to portray Annas in the upcoming West End revival of Jesus Christ Superstar this June, marking another major milestone in his performing arts journey.
